The Top Cats was formed by a Hobbit splinter group that never rejoined. Most of the adult males returned to the Hobbits or join or formed other group within two months. The group was led by Dusty and Hemlet up antill he left the group to rove. Than a Young Ones male named Axel joined the group and became the dominant male.

When the group first formed litter-mates Dusty and Hamlet took the dominant position. However Hamlet went roving and left the group. Than a month later Axel joined the group and became the new dominant male.
