The Stellar Mob was one of the first 7 mobs to be located in the Extreme Desert during January 1990 by meerkat researchers, one of the member was collared and the group was soon followed.
It took 5 months for the group to become fully-habituated, the dominant pair of the group at the time was held by female Stellar and male Cosmo. The mob was eventually named after the dominant female.

February 1990 - June 1990: Group was being habituated and became fully-habituated during June 1990.
July 1990: The Stellar Mob had multiple encounters with the Venom Mob and the Leviathan Mob.
August 1990: (VSRF001) Stellar was revealed to be 1 week into her pregnancy.
September 1990: (VSRF001) Stellar evicted (VSRF007) and (VSRF008). The Stellar Mob had encounters with the Venom Mob.
October 1990: (VSRF001) Stellar gave birth to (VSRM011), (VSRM012), (VSRF013) and (VSRF014). (VSRF007) and (VSRF008) rejoined the group a few days later.
November 1990: The Stellar Mob had a encounter with the Venom Mob and the Omega Mob.
December 1990: (VSRM003), (VSRM004) and (VSRM005) went roving.
