The Sanchez Mob was formed by six meerkats who were rescued from the Black Market and released in to the Kalahari Suricata Suricatta Project in 2003. The males soon left the group to form the Pharaohs and some Navajo males joined the females.
Dominant Pair
When the group was released, Meria who was the biggest female took dominance of the group. After the males left, a group of Navajo males joined the three females. Akando took over as the dominant male.

The Sanchez's main rivals are the Navajo. Their other rivals are the Pharaohs.
History
March 2003: Marquilla, Romona, Chela, Ramondo, Edwardo and Jarald were released. Marquilla took over as the dominant female.
April 2003: Ramondo, Edwardo and Jarald left the group. Akando, Cheveyo, Halian and Minco joined the group. Akando took over as the new dominant male.
May 2003: Marquilla, Chela and Romona were all pregnant.. One encounter with Pharaohs.
June 2003: Marquilla lost her litter. Romona's litter was killed by the Navajo. Chela gave birth to four pups.
July 2003: One encounter with Navajo. Halian went roving twice.
August 2003:Two encounters with Pharaohs. Halian and Minco went roving.
September 2003: Marquilla was pregnant. She evicted Romona and Chela.
October 2003: Marquilla gave birth to three pups.
