The Jackals was formed in 2004 by three evicted Zappa females and two males, one wild and from the Young Ones. After Brandy vanished in December 2005, her eldest daughter Midnight took dominance with a wild male named Shogun. In January 2008 Midnight was killed by a jackal and her daughter Darkness became the new dominant female beside Shotgun.
Midnight's oldest daughter Darkness then became the new dominant female with the wild male Sark as the dominant male.
Dominant Pair
As soon as the Jackals formed, Brandy, the oldest and strongest of the females, estaiblisted dominance. The Young Ones male Ousik became the dominant male. Brandy was a successful dominant female and kept her sisters in their place. In May 2006 Brandy showed signs of TB but she then vanished and it was assumed she died. Her eldest daughter Midnight took over as dominant female. Ousik remained in the group until he was found dead in June 2006. Shephered became the dominant male for a short while till he took to roving. Then in August three wild males joined the group, Shogun took male dominance beside Midnight. In Janaury 2008, Midnight was attacked by a jackal and killed and her eldest daughter Darkness became the new dominant female.
and two wild males joined the group and Sark became the new dominant male. Darkness and Sark are still the dominant pair today.

June 2004: Ousik became the dominant male. Two encounters with Asphodel.
July 2004: Soe Mi Ti aborted. One encounter with Asphodel.
August 2005: Brandy and Taphin were pregnant. Seo Mi Ti and Taphin were evicted.
September 2004: Brandy gave birth to Twilight, VJKM003, Midnight and Glass. Taphin aborted.
October 2004: Shephered went roving. Two encounters with Parside.
November 2004: Seo Mi Ti was pregnant. VJKM003 was predated. Two encounters with Asphodel.
December 2004: Soe Mi Ti gave birth to Destiny, Owl, and Raccoon. Shephered went roving. One encounter with Asphodel and Pharside.

February 2007: Glass aborted. Ragdoll gave birth but lost her pups in a burrow raid by the Pharside.
March 2007: Midnight was pregnant. Glass, Raccoon, Mileigh, Ragdoll, Panda and Data were evicted. Raccoon was Last Seen.
April 2007: Midnight gave birth to Hyzenthlay, Eucalyptus, Triss and Rubber
May 2007: Snapper, Dodger and Shunk went roving. Two encounters with the Asphodel. Feathers was killed.
June 2007: Midnight and Glass was pregnant. Glass, Raccoon, Mileigh, Ragdoll, Panda, Data, Sandy and Birdy were evicted. Mileigh, Panda and Data left the group.
July 2007: Midnight gave birth, but lost litter to Glass. Glass gave birth to Treasure. One encounter with the Nomads.
August 2007: Snapper, Dodger and Shunk went roving.

December 2009: Two wild males named Sark and Whales joined the group. Sark became the new dominant male.
January 2010: Darkness was pregnant. Treasure, Hangman's Bride, Brown Eyes, Foxglove and Ruffian were evicted.
February 2010: Darkness gave birth but lost her litter to the Nomands.
March 2010: Three encounters with Nomands and one with Asphodel.
April 2010: Darkness was pregnant. Foxglove, Ruffian, Lyric and Shimmer were evicted.
May 2010: Darkness gave birth to Enobaria, Zenyatta and Rach
June 2010: One encounter with the Nomads.
